In addition to the Breast Health experts and physicians at Baptist we offer an abundance of resources to help women in all stages of breast cancer, even prevention.

  • Evaluations and calculation tools to identify and treat high-risk patients
  • Proactive screening, breast MRIs and mammography

  • Multiple treatment options for patients and their physicians.
  • Compliance with the American Cancer Society's national screening guidelines

Women Helping Other Women Breast Cancer Support Group

Baptist Women’s Health Center offers a support group for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. This group includes women who have just received a diagnosis, women who are currently fighting cancer, and breast cancer survivors. Being around support women who have experienced the battle with breast cancer can be very beneficial for patients. As much as physicians, nurses, specialists and even family can be there to advise and support you, meeting with women who know what you’re going through can be very cathartic.

Breast Health Specialists

Breast health specialists are registered nurses with years of experience in cancer care. These specialists are the key to streamlining breast cancer care for patients. They help patients gain access to resources, services and support groups; call patients' doctors' offices; and even accompany patients for doctor visits or to purchase hard-to-buy items, such as wigs and prostheses.

Breast health specialists also serve as the ultimate support person for patients, calling patients immediately following diagnosis, meeting with them before surgeries and procedures and even arranging to accompany a patient for difficult surgeries or procedures.
